A civil plumbing contractor run out of Capalaba

JMP Group installs and maintains underground water, sewer, drainage and stormwater infrastructure across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Redlands. We work for developers, head contractors, councils, property managers, plumbing businesses and homeowners, and we bring the excavation side with us rather than subcontracting the dirt to someone else.

How we work

One crew owns the trench and the pipe

Splitting excavation from plumbing creates a seam where programs slip and responsibility blurs. Running both in-house removes it: the trench is cut to the pipe's requirements, the pipe is laid the same day the trench is open, and the backfill is placed by the people who will be back if it settles.

Quotes state inclusions, exclusions and assumptions. Variations are priced in writing before the work happens. At completion you receive test results and as-constructed detail, because a buried asset is only as good as the record of how it was built.

What we are, and what we are not

Civil plumbing sits between domestic plumbing and heavy civil construction. We handle the infrastructure from the connection point to the building: mains, sewers, drains, stormwater and the earthworks around them. Fit-off work inside a building and road pavement construction belong to other trades, and we will tell you when a scope needs one.

Capability

Four disciplines we take end to end

01

Water supply

Mains, services, fire feeds, valves and pump sets, pressure tested and commissioned.

02

Drainage & sewer

Gravity and pressure sewer, house drains, manholes, CCTV and excavated repairs.

03

Stormwater

Pit and pipe networks, detention storage, kerb connections and subsoil drainage.

04

Excavation

Trenching, bulk dig, rock, shoring, service location, backfill and reinstatement.

Standards we build to

The documents behind the work

AS/NZS 3500

The plumbing and drainage standard governing materials, grades, bedding, venting and testing for water services and sanitary drainage.

Queensland Plumbing and Wastewater Code

State requirements that decide whether work is notifiable, compliance-assessable or permit-exempt, and what certification follows completion.

Water authority specifications

Urban Utilities, Logan Water, Redland City Council and City of Gold Coast each publish standard drawings, approved products and connection processes we work through.

Before You Dig Australia

Service plans are requested for every excavation and verified on the ground, with live services exposed by hand or vacuum before machine work.

Work health and safety

Excavation, confined space and traffic management controls are documented in SWMS and traffic plans issued before we mobilise to your site.

Handover records

Pressure tests, CCTV footage, compaction results and marked-up as-constructed drawings are compiled for the project file at completion.

Licence & credentials

Licensed by the QBCC in both the plumber and drainer classes

Every job we hand over is done under a current Queensland occupational licence, which is what lets us certify plumbing and drainage work rather than only dig the trench. The number below can be checked on the QBCC licence register before you engage us.

Licence number PD21658 Occupational licence issued by the Queensland Building and Construction Commission.
Licence holder Jamie Gary Moore Nominee for JMP Group’s plumbing and drainage work.
Classes Plumber
Drainer
Both classes, so pipework and drainage are certified under the one licence.
Current to 1 September 2027 Renewed with the QBCC; a copy of the certificate is supplied on request.

Still to be published here: the ABN, public liability and plant insurance cover, Google Business Profile reviews, and named project examples with photographs.
